These Terms of Service govern your use of our language courses and services.
By enrolling, you agree to these terms.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in a course and making a payment, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old, or have obtained parental/guardian consent
You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service
You accept our Privacy Policy and any additional course-specific guidelines

3. Our Services

Educate.me provides online language instruction including:

Individual (one-on-one) lessons
Group courses
Specialized programs (Luxembourgish citizenship preparation, corporate training, etc.)

Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). We also offer customized programs tailored to specific needs.

To enroll, you’ll need to provide:

Full name
Email address
Phone number
Country of residence
Course selection
Self-assessment of your current language level

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Your Right to Adjust (14 Days)
Under EU consumer protection law, you have 14 calendar days from your first class to adjust your enrollment details or request a refund for unused classes.

During this period, you can:

Request a schedule or group change
Request a different tutor
Adjust your course level
Cancel and receive a refund for unused classes

After 14 Days: Enrollment Confirmed
Once the adjustment period ends, your enrollment is confirmed. This allows us to guarantee your spot, book your tutor, and maintain stable group dynamics. After 14 days, refunds are not available.

5. How We Support You

First 14 Days — Adjustment Period

Different teaching style? We’ll match you with another tutor.
Schedule conflict? We’ll move you to a better time slot.
Wrong level? We’ll adjust your placement.
Need to cancel? Refund for unused classes.

After 14 Days

We’ll still try to accommodate you where possible:

Prefer a different tutor? We’ll try to arrange it (subject to availability).
Need to pause? Your recordings remain accessible.

6. Payment Terms

Payment Plans
We offer four payment options — all represent a commitment to the full course:

Monthly installments	Fixed monthly payments	Payments continue monthly until fully paid
Weekly installments	Enrollment fee + weekly payments	Payments continue weekly until fully paid

By making your first payment, you:

Confirm your enrollment for the full course
Authorize us to process remaining payments according to your selected plan
Acknowledge that payment obligations continue regardless of attendance

⚠️ Important: These are payment plans, not subscriptions. You cannot cancel future payments by stopping attendance.

Refund Processing

If you request a refund within the 14-day adjustment period:

Refunds are calculated for unused classes only
Processing takes up to 14 business days
Refunds are issued to the original payment method

7. Attendance Policy

We provide:

Scheduled live sessions with qualified teachers
Recording access (for paid students)
Rescheduling options for individual courses (with 24-hour notice)

Rescheduling

Individual lessons can be rescheduled with 24 hours minimum notice
Group classes cannot be rescheduled
Individual lessons missed without 24-hour notice are counted as attended
Group classes are always counted as attended regardless of notice

Recordings: Can’t make a session? Recordings of group classes are available for review.

8. Certificates

General Courses: Certificates of attendance are available upon request.
Luxembourgish Citizenship Courses: For government reimbursement eligibility, you must attend a minimum of 24 classes.

9. Course Adjustments

We reserve the right to:

Change instructors with reasonable advance notice
Adjust class schedules when necessary
Modify course content to improve learning outcomes

We’ll always notify you of significant changes in advance.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic, government actions, war, terrorism, or infrastructure failures.

11. Your Responsibilities
As a student, you agree to:

Provide accurate personal information
Maintain respectful communication with tutors and staff
Cancel or reschedule individual lessons with at least 24 hours notice
Keep your login credentials secure

12. Intellectual Property
All course materials (lesson content, presentations, recordings, worksheets) are owned by or licensed to Educate.me. You may use these materials for personal learning only. Redistribution, resale, or commercial use is prohibited.

13. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide excellent service:

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access
Technical issues may occasionally affect live sessions
We are not liable for learning outcomes (which depend on individual effort)

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course in question.

14. Privacy
Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, available at educateme.lu/privacypolicy. We comply with GDPR and Luxembourg data protection regulations.

15. Termination

By You
You may stop attending classes at any time. However, your payment obligations depend on your payment plan:

⚠️ Stopping attendance does not cancel your payment obligations.

By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

Violate these terms
Engage in disruptive behavior
Fail to make required payments

16. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. Any disputes will be resolved in Luxembourg courts.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at info@educateme.lu to resolve concerns amicably.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
